I wrote this song in 2013 in Nashville, TN and outside Atlanta, GA. The song was recorded in the remaining hours before I moved out of Nashville on a fold out table in an empty room in May 2016.

Kill the Prince
Ephesians 2:2 - King James Bible
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
I watched you standing there, in the ashes of the post apocalyptic city with the wind and the flowers in your hair. I watched you standing there with the wisdom of the ages, and the olive branch and dove composed in prayer. Oh what a wonderful name. Every voice will sound. Oh how before it came. By law we were all bound. Now we (A)bound in truth. For YOU. We’re all dead, we’re all dead until we're born again. We’re all dead, we’re all dead until we witness Him. Uh huh! You took my best friend. Took him down with you and you had your way, oh! your way! What a terrible thing! And you say “Beauty, well, I wish you knew me, did you forget my name? Did your number change? Did you just get caught up in all of that fortune and fame?” You say you want your freedom? Well you're “free” in bondage! So speak now slave! What wisdom have you obtained!? You stole from the innocent and the brave. Oh (wholly/holy) powerful name, every knee will bow! Oh how before it came no Love in me was found, now I (A)bound in truth. For YOU. We’re all dead, we’re all dead, until we're born again. We’re all dead, we’re all dead, until we witness Him. Uh huh! Kids, heaven’s just like “Cody Alabama” ;-) If you want to enter into its blissfulness forever:
You must:
01. Knock at the door
02. (The door) opens with a key
03. If you look you'll find the key (all who look will find)
04. But if you never looked you never wanted what's behind the door.
You see:
Everyone gets what they wanted
You got nothing just like you wanted
Every body gets what they wanted
I got something just like I wanted to
Don't say never, ever. Don't say never, lover.
There’s no hell when you die, just LOVE for all time, or the final flatline. You decide! You decide, the choice is your’s not mine, but we're alive, it's no lie, cross my heart and hope to…………*live*…….. Indefinitely. I watched you standing there in the ashes of the post apocalyptic city with the sword of the spirit so: Beware. I watched you standing there, with the wisdom of the ages. Kill the prince of the power of the air.
