I wrote the chorus to this on a ukulele driving to a photoshoot in 2014 and later finished the song. It was recorded and produced by me between October 2014 and May 2016 in Nashville, TN.
lyrics
Jehovah Nissi
Everybody wake up! I need someone to walk the walk and talk the talk! GO!!!!!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! I don't want to be anybody else, ‘cause when I look to you I don't live for myself. It’s true how YOU can be unusual… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And I could be taller to see above the smoke and water, if it's "true" it's YOU Selah, Selah, Selah, (Speaking Hebrew) So you say: “It’s a game. We're here, then like the grass we pass away.” But WE say: “On another day we shall change, and then never age.” “I am the shelter, I wish you would behave, I wish you you’d act your age, I wish you would behave. Uh huh! You are good!” Everybody wake up! (Wake up!) I need someone to walk the walk and talk the talk! Everybody wake up! (Wake up!) I need someone to walk the walk and talk the talk! People wait for damn near anything. Don’t it make you…….? I will be purer, I will be pure. Don’t save it for another day, ——-> Grow older in another way I will be purer, I will be pure! Don't save it for another day, -——> Today IS that other day. When you say: "He's like a gateway.” Don't go in at that broader way! ‘Cause he came for the throwaways, as well as the chosen braves. LISTEN! I AM = the shelter “I wish you would behave, I wish you'd act your age, I wish you would behave. Uh huh! You are good!” Everybody wake up! (Wake Up!) I need someone to walk the walk and talk the talk! Everybody wake up! (Wake Up!) I need someone to walk the walk and talk the talk! People wait for damn near any old thing. People wait for damn near any old thing. Don't it make you sick? Don't it make you Ill? Don't it make you sick? Don’t it make you Ill? He's the rock of ages, neither turns nor changes. He’s beyond all language, and we're His creation. “I AM, THE SHELTER, I WISH YOU WOULD BEHAVE! I WISH YOU’D ACT YOUR AGE, I WISH YOU WOULD BEHAVE! You ARE good! Uh huh!
YOU ARE GOOD! You ARE good! Uh huh!” YOU ARE GOD'S OWN! Still some say: "He's a stowaway. He’s a myth that the weak create.” but I say: “on another day you shall see, and then cease to wake up.”
